A Milestone Witnessed with Love: Mdm Jumiah’s Wish

On 28 December 2025, we had the profound honour of helping 78-year-old Mdm Jumiah Binte Mohamed Hudri fulfil her heart’s deepest wish. Diagnosed with a terminal illness and facing her final months, Mdm Jumiah’s simple hope was to see her nephew get married to the love of his life.

Thanks to the dedicated support of our volunteers Khoo Gaik Chin, Jocelyn Choo Hui Meng, Andrew Amadeus Susilo, and Lin Youneng, her wish became a reality. With two of us accompanying Mdm Jumiah to the wedding on Kheng Lee Road, we ensured she remained comfortable and supported from 11am to 2pm, so she could fully immerse herself in the joy of the occasion.

Surrounded by family, laughter, and the spirit of celebration, Mdm Jumiah witnessed the beautiful milestone of her nephew exchanging vows with his sweetheart. On this joyous occasion, the weight of her illness gave way to pure gratitude, knowing that he was stepping into a loving future. For Mdm Jumiah, seeing their journey begin was a legacy of love witnessed, celebrated, and to be cherished forever.
