Mr Morier’s Fin-tastic Day: of Family and Memories

What a memorable day it was at the Singapore Oceanarium for 79-year-old Mr Aquila Malcolm Morier and his grandkids! Everyone had an absolutely fin-tastic time exploring the underwater world.

This outing was all about creating fond memories and cherishing precious family time. Watching the sheer wonder in the kids’ eyes as sharks and manta rays glided past brought back a flood of memories for Mr Morier. His days as a commercial diver, the thrill of the open sea, and even his spear-fishing adventures!

It was heartwarming to see how much the children adore their grandpa, each taking turns to push his wheelchair around the exhibits.

The family later gathered for a delicious lunch at Chatterbox Café where the sweetest moment of all took place: a special birthday song recording played on the ukulele, Mr Morier’s heartfelt gift to his son, Sean.

Here’s to family, fish, and making memories that last a lifetime!

Mr Morier’s wish was referred to Ambulance Wish Singapore by nurse Nicole Peng from HCA Hospice, and it was led by Darran Lim Wei-Lun, who fulfilled it together with fellow volunteers Tan Sin Yee and Bernard Chan Siong Wah.
