Mr Rosli Bin Saidi has always had a soft spot for animals. He shared many stories with our volunteers about his days adventuring and fishing out in nature. And yet, it had been over 30 years since he last visited the zoo.
So when he shared his wish to visit Mandai Wildlife Reserve with his family, it was clear how much it meant to him.

Our volunteers Sharon Yee, Amoz Yee, and Natasa Suyatna worked closely with his wife and daughter to bring everyone together — his children and grandchildren — for a full family day out. They spent the day exploring, taking it all in, and even sat down for a special breakfast alongside the animals. There were plenty of photos, and Mr Rosli even livestreamed the experience to share the special moment with his friends.

As a longtime reptile lover, he was also in for a surprise. With the support of our friends Azhar and Shermaine from the Into The Wild animal showcase, Mr Rosli got the chance to gently touch some snakes — something he clearly took to with a smile.

Before heading off, our volunteers presented him with Amby, the special Ambulance Wish Singapore soft toy. A simple keepsake, now holding the memory of the day when a 30-year-old wish came true amidst the roars of lions and the laughter of family.
