As a family-oriented person and an avid traveler, Mdm Patsy Wee’s wish reflected the importance of her loved ones and her inclination for nature. On 17 June 2025, Mdm Wee had an outing that combined the joys of basking in floral wonderfulness and having an intimate family dinner.

Specially selected blooms for Mdm Wee from Singapore Botanic Gardens

Despite the weather forecast, the rain held up for Mdm Wee and her entourage to revel in a guided tour of the National Orchid Garden. Besides the warm welcome and entrance fee waiver, the Singapore Botanic Gardens team went the extra mile to scour the nursery stock for a pot of suitably hued orchid as a gift, keeping in mind that Mdm Wee’s favourite colour is baby blue. AWS also presented her with our mascot teddy, Amby, and a scarf (in baby blue, of course) embroidered with her favourite biblical verse.

A fine dining experience made even more special by a curated ‘live’ playlist 

After the gardens visit, the group adjourned for dinner at the cosy Peach Blossoms restaurant where the chef prepared special dishes to suit her dietary requirements. That night’s entertainment was delivered by a trio with a repertoire that spanned from gospel to broadway.

Gorgeous flowers, nourishing food, uplifting music and the company of people who love her – these elements made up a beautiful and indelible wish fulfilment for a very special lady.
