For Madam Lau and her family, it wasn’t about grand gestures but the quiet joy of shared moments, especially with her son, with whom she shares a deep and enduring bond.
The day began with eager anticipation as the family embarked on a scenic cable car ride along the Mount Faber line. Suspended above lush greenery and sprawling cityscapes, they took in the breathtaking views while enjoying each other’s company.
The ethereal view that took their breath away
The true magic of the day unfolded at the Equarius Hotel, where the family was greeted with a heartwarming surprise. The room was beautifully decorated by our AWS volunteers—Lionel Wong, Reina Cheong, Chen Linxin, and Ho Lai Yee—complete with a stunning galaxy projection. The underwater views, teeming with vibrant marine life, left the mother and son in awe.
Cherished Memories that Will Endure Forever
The private jacuzzi pool quickly became the children’s favourite spot — a bubbling playground where their laughter filled the air. Adding to the magic, a family portrait session captured these heartfelt moments, preserving the bond and love shared between Madam Lau and her son.
Love is the flower you’ve got to let grow
A joyful highlight came with the celebration of Madam Lau’s birthday. The volunteers sang a birthday song, presented her with a lovely bouquet of flowers and joined in a joyful cake-cutting moment. The day gradually drew to a close as the family enjoyed a delicious Japanese bento dinner in the serene ambiance of their ocean suite.
