Ambulance Wish Singapore was honoured to fulfil a meaningful wish for 59-year-old Mdm Lee—a special staycation at the Intercontinental Hotel that celebrated her love for family, mahjong, and creating lasting memories.

Personalised Touches for a Meaningful Celebration

Following a detailed consultation with Mdm Lee’s family, our team carefully planned an experience centred around her passions. The celebration began even before the staycation, with a thoughtful home haircut by Share A Cut that helped Mdm Lee feel refreshed and confident for the occasion.

In keeping with Mdm Lee’s love for mahjong, Lele Bakery generously created a custom mahjong-themed cake featuring auspicious tiles and gold coins. Our volunteer Jo-Ann added playful touches to the hotel room, including mahjong-patterned and durian plush cushions that brought a smile to Mdm Lee’s face.

A Day of Precious Moments

From the moment the family arrived at the specially arranged hotel parking, the air was filled with anticipation. The hotel provided wheelchair-accessible connecting rooms perfect for the family of six, ensuring everyone could stay comfortably together.

The highlight was a heartfelt family portrait session by photographer Watson, who beautifully captured the warmth and connection between Mdm Lee and her loved ones. The photographs radiated with the genuine affection shared among family members.

A Heartwarming Family Dinner

The celebration continued with a private dinner where the mahjong cake took centre stage, prompting spontaneous cheers of “Huat Ah!” from the family. Though Mdm Lee could eat little, the joy of being surrounded by her husband and three loving daughters created a profoundly moving atmosphere.

This special staycation was a testament to the love Mdm Lee has showered upon her family throughout the years.
