We had the honor of fulfilling Mdm Linda’s heartfelt wish of spending a memorable day with her family at Gardens by the Bay, a place she adored for its beautiful flowers. A warm and cheerful soul, Mdm Linda greeted everyone with a radiant smile as she fondly reminisced and shared fond stories of the places she had visited with her loved ones.
Mdm Linda was wheeled from the comfort of her home to our ambulance service for her trip to Gardens by the Bay. Upon arriving at Gardens by the Bay, AWS volunteers presented her with a beautiful bouquet of red and yellow-themed flowers, accompanied by an AWS teddy bear. Her face lit up with delight at the thoughtful gesture. While exploring and strolling through the vibrant beauty of Gardens by the Bay, the photographer captured heartfelt family portraits of Mdm Linda and her loved ones. They all cherished the time spent together, admiring the vibrant blooms in the Flower Dome and soaking in the beautiful views.
After the photo session at Gardens by the Bay, we proceeded to the Fairmont Hotel for a tea break. As montages of photos and videos from the day played in the background, the family took turns penning heartfelt messages and wishes for Mdm Linda in a guestbook. Following the tea break, the microphone was passed around, allowing each family member to share their thoughts and wishes for Mdm Linda. Mdm Linda then spoke, expressing her heartfelt messages to each family member and friend present. Her sincere words and emotions moved everyone to tears, as they reflected on her positive impact and shared bittersweet thoughts about future family events without her—a tender farewell they were not ready to face. After her heartfelt speech, the celebration continued with a surprise for her sister Selina’s birthday. The family enjoyed Selina’s favorite Eurasian sugee cake, reminiscing about childhood memories of enjoying this treat together during past gatherings.
At the end of the day, the guestbook was gifted to Mdm Linda, and she was transported home via ambulance, accompanied by our lead wish granter, Bryan. It was a day filled with love, memories, and heartfelt connections.
