The 50th wedding anniversary is known as the golden anniversary — a milestone symbolising a marriage that does not tarnish, but instead grows more precious.

AWS stepped in to arrange a home-based celebration for Mr and Mrs Leo’s 50th wedding anniversary
Mr Leo Kee Chau, an 80-year-old gentleman diagnosed with malignant neoplasm of the renal pelvis and given a prognosis of days to weeks, had one heartfelt wish: to celebrate his golden wedding anniversary at home, surrounded by his family.
As his condition deteriorated, this wish became even more significant. We made the necessary arrangements to facilitate a home visit, creating the space for a small and intimate anniversary celebration with his loved ones.
Side by side with his wife and embraced by the love of his family
In the warmth and comfort of familiar surroundings, Mr Leo held his wife’s hand, exchanged tender smiles, and marked this remarkable milestone with those closest to his heart. Honouring their 50 years of marriage in this way brought emotional comfort and quiet fulfilment during this tender stage of his illness.
It was an intimate and deeply meaningful celebration — a beautiful reminder that love, in its purest form, is found in simply being together.
