In a beautiful display of dedication, Ambulance Wish Singapore (AWS) volunteers Jo-ann and Adele, alongside generous partners, organised a memorable wish experience for Mr Cheng’s 81st birthday. Mr Cheng had long admired Marina Bay Sands during drives with his wife, often wondering what it would be like to stay at the iconic hotel. His birthday wish became reality through the careful coordination of the volunteer team and the support of several kind-hearted partners. The entire day was beautifully captured by Blissful & Co Photography, preserving every moment.
Creating Moments of Luxury and Surprise
The celebration began the moment Mr Cheng and his family arrived at their Sands Bay 2-Bedroom Suite on the 30th floor. The room featured elegant balloon decorations, a custom birthday cake, and breathtaking city views. Mr Cheng’s reaction, “This is more than I ever imagined”, captured the immediate impact of the surprise. A handwritten card from Marina Bay Sands’ Premium Service Team added a personal touch that deeply moved him.
The afternoon included a delightful high tea at the Club Lounge, where Mr Cheng particularly enjoyed the pastry selection. A visit to the SkyPark Observation Deck allowed him to take in panoramic views of Singapore’s iconic skyline, truly fulfilling a long-held dream. The Infinity Pool provided a relaxing setting for family bonding, with laughter and conversation flowing freely.
An Evening of Heartfelt Celebration
As evening fell, the family strolled joyfully through The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, capturing many photographs. Dinner at Putien Restaurant became particularly memorable when the restaurant staff surprised Mr Cheng with longevity buns and a heartfelt birthday song.
The day concluded with Mr Cheng watching the Spectra Light & Water Show from his suite, a peaceful moment to reflect on the day’s special memories. This joyful wish granting experience gave Mr Cheng and his family a collection of beautiful memories that will last a lifetime.
