Mdm Shamsiah’s wish to experience the Gardens by the Bay was brought to life through careful planning by Ambulance Wish Singapore (AWS) volunteers Laura, Ismail, and Sharon. Her eyes sparkled with delight as she explored the vibrant floral displays and majestic Supertrees.
A Memorable Celebration of Family
The team surprised Mdm Shamsiah with a special birthday celebration featuring a delicious buffet lunch at Permata Singapore. The surprise included beautiful flowers by Flower Addict and a beautifully decorated cake. This intergenerational gathering strengthened family bonds as multiple generations shared stories and created new memories together.
Quality Time at D’Resort
The family retreated to D’Resort at Downtown East for relaxed bonding time. Volunteers observed heartwarming moments as grandchildren played games while elders exchanged stories, all united in making Mdm Shamsiah’s day memorable despite her health challenges.
The volunteers’ final surprise – a room transformed by Andy’s Balloons’ vibrant decorations and a montage of her special day – became the perfect finale to Mdm Shamsiah’s wish experience, leaving her visibly touched by this tribute to her joyful moments.
This entire experience confirmed Mdm Shamsiah’s happiness, as she concluded:
“People celebrate birthday to me only today, that’s why I’m very happy.”
