Despite being hospitalised at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), Mdm Regine remained cheerful as she requested two special things: a gathering with loved ones and an opportunity to thank her dedicated medical team. Volunteer Irene led the planning, supported by Rachel, Alvin, and Elaine, ensuring every detail was personal. Learning of Mdm Regine’s fondness for Donald Duck from family members, they arranged a custom Donald and Daisy Duck cake that brought immediate delight. The team transformed her hospital room with vibrant flowers and balloons, creating a festive atmosphere that brightened the moment Mdm Regine arrived.
A Celebration of Life and Gratitude
Guests showered Mdm Regine with flowers, photos, and handmade cards. The celebration featured thoughtful details, including a second, mahjong-themed cake honouring her favourite game and a multilingual birthday song that united everyone present. True to her appreciative nature, Mdm Regine personally thanked each doctor and nurse for their compassionate care, showing her gratitude for the support she received during this wish granting experience.
