Madam Rokiah Binte Adnan, 79, is living with progressive chronic kidney disease and ischemic heart disease. Yet her spirit remains unshaken.

For the Love of Orchids

She lights up at the sound of Bollywood music and has a deep love for flowers—especially orchids. Her one wish was to visit the National Orchid Garden and create beautiful memories with her loved ones.

In just two days, team leader Kong Hoe helmed a merry crew of AWS volunteers comprising Elaine, Vanetta, Jia Hong, Ethan, and Brenda to make it happen. What a gift it was to witness Madam Rokiah’s infectious laughter and unbreakable joy. Her zest for life reminded us all of what truly matters.
