Grace Young-Diao

Director

Grace Young-Diao is a three-time Singapore Sportswoman of the Year, a sports presenter and Council Member of the Singapore Bowling Federation. Service has always been a big part of her life.  From serving her country on a sporting level in her younger days for over 15 years, she continues to be involved in community engagements to date.

This is a calling and a gift she fully embraces. There are many small projects that she has taken on through the years but one in particular has taken her to different parts of Thailand on an annual basis. It was with great enthusiasm and excitement that Grace and her close friends have been able to combine the interest of road cycling and serving the less privileged community in Thailand.  Through the years, they have managed to raise awareness of cervical cancer and the importance of pep smear tests to women in rural Thailand.  Together with Johns Hopkins Hospital in Thailand, they raised money to provide free tests to these women.  Thereafter, they had also built libraries for the hill-tribe communities and enabled a couple orphanages to be self-sufficient.  In the last 3 years, the focus was supporting education for the displaced people on the border of Thailand and Myanmar.

Through her experiences, the key for a successful project was no different to the training she had put in as an athlete.  Through serving her country, the community, her church and home, she strives to love and serve as Christ did.
