Mdm Misliah, a remarkable 76-year-old woman, has faced life’s challenges with grace and an unyielding love for her family. Diagnosed with liver failure and unfavourable prognosis, her deepest wish was simple yet profound – to bring her entire family together for one final gathering filled with love, laughter, and a cherished family portrait.

On the late afternoon of December 18th, her wish became a reality. Over 40 of her closest family members, spanning generations from great-grandchildren to in-laws, came together to celebrate her extraordinary life. The room, adorned with vibrant balloon decorations by That Balloons, overflowed with warmth and togetherness.

The gathering was a beautiful tapestry of emotions—laughter, nostalgia, and heartfelt moments. A touching video montage of Mdm Misliah’s life brought her incredible journey to life, evoking tears and smiles in equal measure. One unforgettable highlight was when her grandchildren lovingly carried her on a makeshift “throne” for a whimsical photoshoot, a joyful expression of the immense admiration and devotion they feel for their beloved matriarch.

Throughout the day, thoughtful gestures reflected the family’s deep affection. Her great-grandchildren presented her with a bouquet of her favorite flowers, a symbol of love for Mdm Misliah. Adding to the celebration were two special cakes: a ondeh-ondeh wish day cake for Mdm Misliah and a chendol birthday cake for her grandson Iskandar, chosen with care to honor her favorite color, green.
