On 23 December 2024, a special wish came true for Mdm Salmah, who is battling rectal cancer.

With the help of AWS volunteers: Elaine, Swee Qin, Mary Ann, Eric, and Joel, a cosy and unforgettable day was organised at the Tee Side Chalet. The event was a heartfelt family gathering, including Mdm Salmah’s niece who flew in from Australia to be part of this meaningful occasion.

Arriving via Medical Assistance 4 U, Mdm Salmah was so overwhelmed with emotion that she could only weep quietly upon seeing what was put together by her family and the AWS team. It was a beautiful moment that spoke volumes of the love and support surrounding her.

To honour Mdm Salmah’s fondest memories of fishing and spending time by the beach with her late husband, we arranged a peaceful stroll by the beach. With a camping tent, chairs, and specially printed photos of cherished moments, Mdm Salmah was able to enjoy the afternoon sea breeze.
