Ai Ling Sim-Devadas

Ai Ling Sim-Devadas is a patient advocate and a health communications professional, working with patients, family carers, healthcare professionals and researchers to make healthcare better, safer and more patient and family centered. She brings with her over 20 years of experience working with hospitals and healthcare organisations in communications, patient experience, fundraising and volunteer management.

She is the Patient Mentor at the SingHealth Patient Advocacy Network, the first-of-its-kind patient advocacy group in Singapore, and also serves on The Beryl Institute Global Patient and Family Advisory Board as the first Asian board member to bring patients and families’ perspectives from this region. In the palliative care sector, she also contributes as a member of the Dover Park Hospice’s Community and Outreach Committee.

Committed to grow patient engagement in Singapore’s healthcare landscape, she is now bringing patients’ voices to medical research and education as the Deputy Director of Advocacy and Engagement in NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
